The VISA Group traces its beginnings to 1994, when the Chairman of the Company, Mr. Vishambhar Saran decided it was time to forgo a comfortable position of Director (Raw Materials) at Tata Steel, India’s largest private sector steel company, to pursue his own vision.
VISA’s corporate structure is designed to make the best of opportunities both in India and abroad. VISA International, the holding company has three arms:
VISA Steel Ltd. is the torchbearer in India, with a focus on manufacturing and logistics activities. It is registered in Bhubaneswar and has its corporate office in Kolkata.
VISA Comtrade AG controls the international trading operations, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, with subsidiaries in London, Hong Kong and Brisbane.
VISA Power Limited is the SPV incorporated in the year 2005 with a vision to empower India’s growth.
At VISA, we recognize that in an industry vulnerable to sharp swings in demand and realizations, it is imperative to build a business model that is sustainable and an effective hedge against cyclicality. The truth is ultimately in the numbers. A 42% CAGR sales growth is testimony to the VISA Group’s ability and prudence in managing its top line. A healthy bottom line is ensured through operational efficiency and fiscal discipline.
